(220 x 175 mm) pp. 150 + 2 p. Publisher’s ads. Frontispiece with illustration tipped in, second frontispiece with chromolithograph illustration and five more chromolithographic illustrations throughout (all present). Tissue guards intact. Chromos have left ghost transfer print on facing page of description. Ownership stamp on front fly leaf, “Greta Taylor, Ashdown, Apperley Bridge (near Leeds)”. Unaffected by foxing. Publisher’s orange cloth binding with four gilt rondelles and gilt title stamp; black ornate border with “Chromographs After Sir Joshua Reynolds” and “Marcus Ward & Co. London & Belfast” embedded. Spine sun faded and minor bumping to end bands but overall very well preserved, bright copy. Overall VERY GOOD condition.
