The cases are divided into several sections: People who were quite well (Cases 161-285); People who were exhausted (Cases 286-303); People who were very ill (Cases 304-321); and, People who nearly died (Cases 322-346). Section B comprises of Enforced Out-of-the-Body Experiences, which are further split into experiences caused by anesthetics (Cases 347-367); Caused by Falling or Shock (Cases 368-379); caused by suffocation (Case 380); and, caused by hypnosis (Case 381,382). The final section presents people who did die, permanent out-of-the-body experiences.
