First American edition (19 x 12.5 cm) pp. [vi], 368. Bound in black publisher's cloth with title and author in red on cover and spine. Ex libris Dizik blue rubber stamp to final pastedown. Some sun fading to endband, but spine bright. Occational spot of foxing, and small chipping on foredge side to pages of preface and Book I. A hint of splitting to front hinge and splitting to pastedown in back. Firmly bound and a solid copy. Overall VERY GOOD condition.
This first American edition was believed to have been printed in a run of 2025 copies, with part of the run destroyed due to water damage from a fire-- the damaged copies were still sold.
