This booklet was printed for the ‘International Flavors of Home Economics Seminar,’ held at Queens College on April 24, 1982. It stands at the intersection of nutrition studies, anthropology, pedagogy, and culinary studies with listings of cooking equipment, suppliers, and restaurants, and eateries specific to Chinese, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Italian, Afro-American, and Hispanic, cuisines in New York, with further critical bibliographies for each culture. The authors have also provided examples of foodie fairs, festivals, and bazaars and a sample lesson plan examining Thanksgiving traditions.
