POPULAR EDITION (in single volume). (230 x 170 mm) pp. xiii, 637. With frontispiece and 23 additional full colored illustrations. Bound in crimson cloth with ornate gold stamping and title in a escutcheon with a cardinal’s hat. Top of spine is slightly bent. Includes original advertisements and ephemera. Half-title page has the worst of the wear with some browning, but overall NEAR FINE condition.
